Jay Shafer is largely credited to creating the tiny house movement. In 1999 he published his first article about tiny homes and in that same year, he opens his company, Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. This was the first company to sell tiny mobile homes. In 2002, Shafer founds another company, Small House Society, with the help of Nigel Valdez, and Gregory Paul Johnson. Together, they are able to develop the tiny house movement more.
The picture above is one of the tiny homes from Shafer's Tumbleweed company.
